Gaithersburg, MD – July 08, 2019 – Recovery Point Systems, a leading national provider of cloud-based business resilience solutions, scored within the three highest scores in each of the four use cases evaluated by Gartner Inc. in the recently released June 2019 Critical Capabilities report for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)1. Recovery Point received the highest product score (3.92 out of 5.0) for the Medium-Complexity Customer Environment Use Case, highest (3.95 out of 5.0) for Small-Enterprise Customer Environment Use Case, third highest (3.87 out of 5.0) for Midsize-Enterprise Customer Environment Use Case and third highest (3.7 out of 5.0) for Low-Complexity Customer Environment Use Case.
Authored by Gartner analysts Mark Thomas Jaggers, Ron Blair and Lisa Price, the latest version “Critical Capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service” report was published on June 11, 2019. In addition to these Critical Capabilities scores, Recovery Point was also named as a Leader in the 2019 Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service2, and placed highest for the ability to execute for the third successive year in that report.
According to the report, “Gartner recommends that users consider the set of critical capabilities as some of the most important criteria for acquisition decisions.” We believe that most industry experts agree that vendors with large and multifaceted managed resiliency solutions offer the best value to enterprise organizations.
“As more and more workloads transition to the cloud, IT leaders are recognizing that a hybrid resilience strategy that holistically addresses both their legacy risk and their cloud-based workloads makes the most sense, particularly if their vendor can fully manage disparate solutions across all sectors,” said Marc Langer, Recovery Point’s President. “These enterprise customers need a business resilience partner with a comprehensive portfolio of services focused around hybrid cloud that delivers application level recoveries and relieves them of the program staffing burden. Recovery Point is strongly positioned to be that partner now and into the future.”
