Recovery Point’s Cloud Achieves FedRAMP Ready Status
Recovery Point is pleased to announce that its recently completed Readiness Assessment Report for its INcloudGov cloud-based disaster recovery offering for Federal agencies has been approved by the FedRAMP PMO and is now officially designated as FedRAMP Ready. Recovery Point retained a Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) to conduct an extensive audit of the INcloudGov service, leading to the FedRAMP PMO granting the cloud-based disaster recovery service FedRAMP Ready status. With its FedRAMP Ready status, Recovery Point will pursue a FedRAMP Agency Authorization in the near future.
Established in 2012, FedRAMP is a U.S. government-wide risk management program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud services among Federal agencies. It is one of the most complex and in-depth compliance programs an organization can undertake. FedRAMP has helped expedite the adoption of cloud-based solutions for many agencies and enables cost savings by eliminating duplicate agency security assessments of vendor cloud-based services.
Recovery Point is now among a select group of cloud service providers whose services have successfully undergone the rigorous FedRAMP readiness review. The FedRAMP Ready status provides agencies with assurances that INcloudGov has the critical features and capabilities needed to meet their security needs and reinforces Recovery Point’s consistent focus on a broad portfolio of secure, compliance-based cloud services.
Security is built into Recovery Point’s commercial and Federal cloud services from the ground up, with stringent comprehensive controls embedded into each phase of service delivery architecture. Nearly identical security controls and rigorous compliance procedures exist in Recovery Point’s commercial cloud as those engineered into InCloudGov. As a result, commercial clients enjoy similar compliance and security benefits.
