Marc Langer – President and Board of Directors
 
Marc Langer is the founder and President of Recovery Point. He began his career in the disaster recovery industry in 1982 when he created First Federal Corporation, now a leading off-site data storage provider serving a broad spectrum of public sector and commercial clients. In the late 1990s, as market demand was accelerating for faster recovery solutions for complex systems and networks, Marc recognized that the traditional component providers of disaster recovery services were not expanding beyond their own specialties to deploy the all-inclusive service delivery model required to reliably and economically meet this demand.
 
In response, Marc developed the concept of the Integrated Disaster Recovery Supplier whereby clients engage a single vendor to provide an all-inclusive, economical suite of services based on a single, flexible contract. Recognizing the growing importance to clients of physical security and infrastructure reliance, he also distinguished Recovery Point’s offerings by developing the first facilities in the country designed to meet Federal standards for blast resistance and occupant safety as well as industry standards for concurrently maintainable data center services.

Following successful deployment of a pilot program in Gaithersburg, Maryland in 1999, Marc led the national expansion of Recovery Point’s services and the development of four additional locations. Marc is a member of the Board of Directors and continues to run Recovery Point on a day-to-day basis.
